Google Scholar is an open access search engine that indexes the full text of scholarly publications of all formats and disciplines. It allows you to easily perform extensive searches of scholarly literature. Using a single query form, you can search across disciplines and sources, including peer-reviewed articles, theses, books, abstracts, and reports published by scholarly publishers, professional associations, institutions of higher education, and other scholarly organisations. Google Academy allows you to find the research that most closely matches your search query among a huge number of scholarly works. It classifies articles in the same way that academics do, by evaluating the entire text of each article, its author, the edition in which the article appeared, and the citation frequency of the paper in the scientific literature. The most relevant results are always displayed on the first page. |
